Grammy Awards 2012

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards are just around the corner. Though nominations for the prestigious event were revealed weeks ago, the academy confirmed who will be performing between awards.Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson will perform a duet, while the Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift also appear. Aldean is the only performer who has not previously performed at the award show.
The Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars lead the nominations for their albums. Each artist has six nominations, while Nicki Minaj has four nods. Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean have three nods each, even going up against each other for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album. Kelly Clarkson, a two-time Grammy winner, is nominated with Aldean for their duet “Don’t You Wanna Stay.”
Overall, the entertainment is completely appropriate for the night. What better way to show just why these artists are nominated than to showcase a live performance? The Grammy Awards are known for their memorable performances. Only at the Grammy’s will you see Justin Bieber joined by Usher AND Jaden Smith or Elton John and the Eminem.
